My name is Nick and I was born and raised in Frederick County. My childhood mostly consisted of hiking the woods and mountains of Frederick and Washington County with my dad and brother. It was through these family experiences where I found my love for nature and my insatiable desire to learn more about wildlife. My curiosity of birds, plants, flowers, butterflies and so forth, led me to explore nature in all the various ways possible through hiking, mountain biking, white water rafting, canoeing, camping and so much more. Throughout the years, I have been able to quickly and easily identify birds, bird calls, plants by leaf and bark, butterflies by markings, as well as animal tracks (thank you dad for all of those hunting trips!). I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with other people while at the same time providing people an opportunity to get outside and learn. I am CPR and First Aid Certified.

Baseball and softball are my other passions. At a young age, I started playing T-ball and continued my baseball career throughout middle school and high school. During my senior year, my baseball team won the 2A State Championship. To this day, I continue to hone my skills by playing in an adult softball league. I enjoy everything about baseball and softball and I’m grateful that I have the ability to share my knowledge of the two sports.
